Day 4 • The Final Act
Club report: The session started off with us watching a video by Indian Raga on the poem ‘Still I Rise' by Maya Angelou. We had a discussion on the video. We then moved on to the next activity - having a table read of the poem, ‘The Frog and the Nightingale’ by Vikram Seth. Next, we analyzed the significance of the poem as well as the various characters. We were provided with an hour's time for preparing an act that captured the idea of the poem. In the last half hour, we filmed a portion of the act. The act consisted of various characters and roles- the narrators, the nightingale, the frog, supporting characters, the soundscaping artist, and a videographer.
